We visit this little Thai restaurant every time we're in town since we don't have a decent Thai restaurant in our town. The food is great and I highly recommend the lunch special. Staff is efficient and non-intrusive. Lively vibe in this tiny dining room with a younger than average crowd. Seating can be tight when it's busy but definitely worth it for quality and price.

Came here during their lunch time and ordered the lunch special. Comes with entree and two sides. Their tom yum soup was pretty okay, my expectations were low from the reviews saying it was too watery but I found it to be okay for the price. We got the Pad See ew and pad Thai. Both were a bit sweet for our liking. The server consistently check up on us and was attentive. It's a nice spot for a quick bite between classes as it is located by Baruch or during lunch time!

Went back to dine in and it was pretty good. Definitely recommend dining in over taking out. The Thai ice tea was really good like always. Food was superb and the service was great. Overall, a good place to come to for their lunch special.

Cute ambience, cozy, and nice sit down place with a few friends, family, or date. Friendly and attentive service. The Drunken Noodles was surprisingly not wide noodles, but thin rice noodles (it did specify in the menu). This had good flavor, but I personally prefer them with wide noodles. Not anything special when it comes to Thai food, but solid quality, portions, and price!

It is a good place for work lunch. The lunch special is about $14-$20 depending on the selected protein. It also came with selected Tom Yum soup or salad and bite size appetizer such as spring rolls, dumplings or edamame etc. The soup was so so, not in good quality. I ordered pineapple fried rice with beef (around $15 something). It was in big portion and they actually gave quite a lot of meat. I can only finish half of it and took home the rest for dinner. It is very busy during noon time and starts to wind down around 1 pm. Due to the small space, it can be loud when it is pack with customers. The services are good and fast. Worth a try if you are in the area.

Great Thai food and amazing portions! Ordered takeout from Little Basil and was amazed by how delicious the food was and how generous the portions are. They have lot of vegan friends options and delicious dishes for meat eaters as well. I arrived early to pick up the food, but the staff were very kind and allowed me to wait while they quickly prepared my order. The restaurant is tiny, but cozy. Would love to dine in sometime in the future. Must try: CHIVE PANCAKES, omg so good. These pancakes are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The dipping sauce is perfectly sweet and salty. By far one of my favorite Thai dishes and a great appetizer. BASIL FRIED RICE, very flavorful and filling. With a variety of protein options to have in the rice. KUAGLING OVER RICE, Little Basil offers a generous portion of pork ribs over rice and a runny egg. The damage: $112 total minus tax and tip. 2 fried chive pancakes, little fried Basil rice, mock duck dish, kua gling over rice, green curry, and duck spicy Basil.

Little Basil feels like the little engine that could in Murray Hill/Kips Bay. It's my go-to takeout spot and has some of the best pad thai in the city. It's very charming inside too! Service is always super friendly and appreciative of business too.

Ambient lighting. Service was good. I ordered the massaman curry with duck, which comes with a bowl of white rice. The duck skin was perfectly crispy and the meat itself was tender. There was a generous amount of duck as well. The potato was still crispy even though it was served in the curry. The curry itself was creamy and thick and very tasty albeit definitely on the sweeter side, which can get to you after eating the whole dish. The price for the food was very good even for a more expensive meat. I highly recommend this restaurant!

BYOB!!! This restaurant is so cute and I loved the plants and lights they had hanging from the ceiling. It's byob with no cork fee which is perfect. I got the pad Thai and asked for it with no red onions, but they accidentally left out the green onions as well. It wasn't a big deal though and the pad Thai still tasted delicious. It came with a good amount of noodles and chicken. The only thing I wished is it came with more sauce or added a bit more flavor to the sauce. This wasn't my favorite pad Thai since I've had more flavorful ones in the past, but overall, still yummy!
